I had grown accustomed to seeing little strips of sky and hardly ever a star to speak of. I was a Brooklyn guy, going full speed ahead in the rat race, mostly as a private investigator in NYC. In 1994 my wife, Christine Valvano, and I decided there had to be a better way to live. We dropped out of the rat race and dropped into Taos, justifiably known as The Soul of the Southwest. We founded Salsa Realty in 1998 and never looked back.
